Huawei’s self-developed software system is just setting new records and a new report says that HarmonyOS 5.0 has now crossed 30 million installations. This is indeed a big achievement for the company by the end of 2025.
A tipster on Weibo mentioned that Huawei HarmonyOS 5.0 has crossed almost 30 million installations. So far, the total device units have reached 30.0548 million!
Just three weeks ago, HarmonyOS Next reached a 27 million device base, noting that the daily installations of this particular operating system have increased by 100,000 units.
Interestingly, the self-developed Huawei operating system has reached the 30 million mark. That is, in just three weeks (less than a month) HarmonyOS 5.0 has increased by 30 million units of installations.
For reference, the tipster revealed that the number of installs of apps like Smart Distribution Service and Celia (which comes on a phone alongside HarmonyOS) is 29.81 million and 29.77 million respectively.
HarmonyOS 5.0 has built a broad base of users, and Huawei should be credited with deploying this software version on every device, be it the entry-level Enjoy smartphone, Nova handset, folding models, tablets, wearables, smart TVs, and more.
In the meantime, the company has launched HarmonyOS 6.0 with even more advanced features and improvements. It has revamped security with more smart tools and optimized multitasking with iconic AI functionality. It remains to be seen what else future HarmonyOS versions bring.
